MEET THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents, Guardians, Teachers, Learners

Welcome to 2020

At Walvis Bay Private High School, we aim to create a learning community where each learner will grow into a healthy, fit, collaborative individual in a happy and safe environment with a deep sense of belonging while being challenged emotionally, academically, creatively and spiritually to taste success and transfer meaningful knowledge at a tertiary/vocational level, and into their adult life. With our current theme:  Belong, Believe, Become, we try to help our learners to be actively involved and reach for their goals.  We believe that we all work to obtain a great Grade 12 outcome and the success story starts in Grade 1.

The School is rightly hailed as one of the most progressive schools in the country.  As a Private School, we recognize the important role we play in supporting the community and the Ministry to deliver on National and International objectives.

With the new revised curriculum the Ministry of Education, Arts & Culture have decided to follow the Senior Secondary Curriculum from Grade 10 as well, as we have been doing for the past 7 years and we continue in our quest to give our learners the best opportunities we possibly can.

Whether we like it or not, we are in a race and the question is not how well we run, but how well we finish.  It is not how we start off, it is how we end off.  2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race.”

Being part of Walvis Bay Private High School, is indeed being part of a race.  We are most grateful that through the Grace of God, we can run the race without fear.

To know God’s will is the greatest treasure, to fulfil God’s will is the greatest pleasure.

It is an honour to welcome each and every one to 2020 at WBPHS.  May you enjoy your involvement with Walvis Bay Private High School.

Kind regards

(Mrs) EE Eigelaar
